Rastriya Banijya Bank Ltd signs agreement with F1Soft International to provide Mobile Banking services

Jan 25, 2014 Kathmandu, January 24th, 2014 – Rastriya Banijya Bank Ltd. has signed an agreement with F1Soft International Pvt. Ltd. to provide Mobile Banking services to its customers. The signing ceremony was held at the premises of the central office of Rastriya Banija Bank Ltd. at Singha Durbar plaza amidst a function that also marked the bank’s 49th anniversary. Mr. Krishna Prasad Sharma, CEO of Rastriya Banijya Bank and Mr. Subash Sharma, CEO of F1Soft International, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations. Customers of Rastriya Banijya Bank can now use their mobile phones to avail services such as Balance Enquiry, Transaction Alerts, Transaction History and Fund Transfer facilities. Additionaly, customers will also be able to purchase recharge cards or topup services which include Nepal Telecom, Ncell, Broadlink and Dish Home services. Customers will also soon be able to make payments to merchants using the Fonepay service and also load their e-Sewa wallets. With a history of almost half a century and a strong customer base of around 1.7 million, Rastriya Banijya bank is one of the pioneers and largest banks in the country. He had been serving as the acting CEO since September 2012. Sep 20, 2013 Bangladesh Commerce Bank Ltd. (BCB) signed a tripartite agreement with F1Soft International Pvt Ltd, Singapore and M/s. Hypertag (local partner). As per the agreement, F1Soft International Pv,t Ltd. Will facilitate BCB with its Mobile Money & Inward Foreign Remittance software named ‘Transborder’ which will connect the bank to a number of International Remitting Companies/Exchange houses in 150 countries worldwide. ‘Transborder’ is an online , real-time Mobile Money & Inward Remittance Software that will help BCB to operate across borders and currencies through a  fast, reliable and convenient cash payment channel.
